# What You Need:

→ Bread

01 - 4 slices sourdough or country white bread

→ Dairy

02 - 4 ounces Havarti cheese, sliced
03 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

→ Vegetables

05 - Place sandwiches onto the hot skillet. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula until bread is golden brown and cheese is fully melted.
06 - Remove from skillet and let cool for 1 minute. Slice diagonally and serve immediately while hot.

# Expert Advice:

02 -
  • Low and slow heat wins the race every time. High heat burns the bread before the cheese melts.

03 -
  • Grate a little smoked paprika or garlic powder into the softened butter for an extra layer of flavor
