Tender green beans cooked with garlic and toasted almonds for a crisp, flavorful side.

# What You Need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

→ Aromatics

02 - 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

→ Nuts

03 - 1/4 cup sliced almonds

→ Oils & Fats

04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Seasonings

05 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
06 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and blanch for 2–3 minutes until bright green and just tender. Drain and immediately transfer to an ice water bath to halt cooking. Drain well and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, toast sliced almonds, stirring frequently, until golden brown and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Remove almonds and set aside.
03 - Add olive oil and sliced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
04 - Add drained green beans to the skillet and sauté, stirring frequently, for 3–4 minutes until heated through and slightly crisp-tender.
05 - Season with salt, black pepper, and optional lemon juice. Toss to combine.
